We all know that Israel or Jacob, son of Isaac, fathered 12 sons who started the 12 tribes of Israel. Today, Israel as a nation is from the only surviving tribe of Jews or Judah. All others tribes were vanished with history.
But is this truly so? I remember news running for days on television many years ago about the lost tribe of Israel returning to Israel from Ethiopia. Not long later, I recall I saw on television another group of Israel tribe returning home from Russia. I would not believe the report if I had not seen the real people in the news. The Ethiopia Israelis looks just like any black African. Those returned from Russian look more like Caucasian than the Middle East Jews.
Jews has many traditions originated in the Bible they still observe today. They celebrate the pass over to remember God's mercy on the night of the plague on the first born. In the New Testament, Jews hired the wailers in a funeral to moan with commotion and cries. Today, we still see the same loud cries in a funeral to indicate sincere sorrow they feel for the parted one.
Chinese too, has some traditions and practices exactly the same like the Jews. Rich Chinese funerals still hire people to cry in the funeral with the same meaning as it is intended in the Biblical Jews. We may not see this practice much in China mainland due to some culture up rooting during the Cultural Revolution under the Communist reign. But in Taiwan and Hong Kong, hire wailing is a common phenomenon of the rich.
Another Jewish funeral tradition that Chinese still practice is for the children of the deceased to wear sackcloth and use ashes to hold the jot stick. Although not all Chinese will wear sackcloth in a family funeral today due to the effect of the influential western culture, but we can still see many Chinese who keep the old tradition of wearing sackcloth in a funeral. Those who do not wear it would cut a small piece of sackcloth and clip it to the shirt in the funeral and during the mourning period for 3 months.
For a Chinese house, it is auspicious to keep a pair of red paper on the front gate and doors to dispel evil spirit and usher good luck. Red that signifies blood is the most preferred color to all Chinese. In Chinese New Year, red paper must be hang or stick to the front door. A similar custom Jews do from the pass over tradition.
In Chinese New Year, the cake Chinese has is also unleavened bread or the Nien-Gao similar to the unleavened bread Jews has in their Abib or Nisan festive season.
There are many other customs of Chinese and Jews so similar that it can hardly be a coincidence. Jews and Chinese alike will travel the world to return home for the New Year eve family gathering feast. Jews and Chinese too would give up anything in life to enable their children for higher education.
Looking at some Chinese writing will further confirm my belief that Chinese a one of the tribe of Israel. We know that Chinese writing starts from the right and end on the left, Jews too has the way of writing from right to left.
In fact, Chinese character is more to drawing than writing. Every word is drawn from the real object of thing or person. The word sun is a circle with a line in the middle saying the sun is round with light shining in the center. The word person is a straight line down with two small lines under drawn like a man with 2 legs.
The word boat looks more like a picture of a Chinese junk. But for a big boat, it is a drawing of a boat with eight mounts in it. Why the eight mounts in a boat? It is because Noah with his family members of seven who survived the flood in the Ark
Another Chinese word "Come" is a cross with 2 persons hanging on both sides of the cross and people under the cross. Who can the 2 person on the cross be except the two robbers who were crucifies with Jesus one on his right and one on his left. The person under the cross is the one Jesus say to "Come" to me.
The most amazing of the Chinese characters is the word righteousness. It is a picture of a lamb on top of me. No one can be righteous unless he/she is under the grace of Christ Jesus.
Are these again coincidences? Of course it is not. And so which tribe of Israel Chinese is from? I really want too know. May be Levi, or may be Benjamin or Dan. May be I will never know. But again, if I root Chinese back one step up, they should come from Jacob, the twin brother of Esau. Then I can trace them back to Abraham and all the way back to Adam.

Wonderful thought provoking HUB. I too believe that the Chinese people have roots tied to the Prophet Abraham, in fact running through the 12 Tribes of Israel. Could it be that when the tribes were scattered the first time, meaning the scattering of the Northern Kingdom, that they intermarried and the blood of Israel became scattered in that way? If that would be the case, could a mixture of the tribes be present in China? Food for thought.
Very interesting. Many folks in Mexico and Spain continue to practice rituals that have roots in Judaism, such as lighting candles on Friday nights. The bible predicted that the Jews would be numerous, like the grains of sands on a beach. If the Chinese are indeed Jews, it would make that prediction more true.
Mr. Thisayakorn,I beleive you to be right on. Please consider; I truly believe that the Native Americans are originally Chinese. Even as a child I saw the similarity in characteristics. Now some scholars are saying that the Chinese landed on the West Coast of America, possibly in the mid to late 1400's. The DNA is much closer than anyone who may have "Traveled a mythical Land Bridge"?

yes u can trace the chinese back to the children of israel. they were the kenites. they followed the children of israel everywhere and were the recorders of a lot of the bible. they were not a tribe, but lived with them. after so many generations, no one knew if they were of the children of israel or not.
If based on the Bible's ancient prophecies, Chinese is surely the children of Joseph (son of Jacob).
Let's take a look at Jacob's last blessings and unfolding prophecies in Genesis 49 :
Jacob Blesses His Sons
1 Then Jacob called for his sons and said: "Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come.
2 "Assemble and listen, sons of Jacob;
listen to your father Israel.
22 "Joseph is a fruitful vine,
a fruitful vine near a spring,

they shot at him with hostility.

because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob,
because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

blessings of the deep that lies below,
blessings of the breast and womb.
26 Your father's blessings are greater
than the blessings of the ancient mountains,

28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them, giving each the blessing appropriate to him.
There were very obvious "unfolding" keyword-prophecies there :
1. wall, which nations on earth who could be strongly related to a unique wall as their symbol? China! The Great Wall.
2. hostility archers, who could be considered the best and most hostile archers in the world? The Mongols! The worldwide unbeatable notorious barbarians, but the Chinese could finally beat them for good because of the help of the Mighty One of Jacob.
3. blessings of the breast and womb, who is the most populous nation on earth? The Chinese! Ok maybe also the Indians, but they don't have the "wall" and they never beat the "Mongols" to match all odds in that prophecy!

The Holy Bible states that Joktan went to the far east and settled there. Peleg settled in the middle east, which they later became the Israelite people. They kept on sinning before God turning to idolatry. He finally had enough and banished them from that country. They went to the four corners of the earth. They are the true Shemites. Native American, Mongolian, Australians aboriginals, Maoris, some Chinese and Japanese tribes and some Shemitic African tribes. They all belong to the Peleg branch. The Joktan branch make up the non- Mongolian people, yet are considered eastern Hebrew people.
You forgot that chinese grandmothers and jewish grandmothers both have a long tradition of saying "eat, eat, you're too thin!!!!"
My Chinese family has a very old antique family record that looks like the Jewish Chronicles... except that many earlier pages were missing due to age. All written in old
Chinese. What I understand is that during the early time, the emperor represents the nation would, build an alter, offer burn incense, offer animals as sacrifices to worship the only Heavenly King.
The Chinese, and all Asians are Descendants of the real Jews in the 12 Tribes of Israel...However I cannot seem to find any mentioning of them, nor Indians as well if they were apart of teh 12 Tribes of Israel, or what they were doing in Biblical Times. The King James Bible is too Bias, and is missing too many Books to be considered as the real, and true Bible. Aside from that fact the way how they Portray the Ancient Biblical Times is so Racist as if only the Europeans existed (Khazar Jews, and Gentiles,etc).

Very good hub Mr. Thisayakorn. I saw the same news story when the Ethiopian Jews were migrating to Issrael. I had heard, and read, about Ethiopian Jews, but, when I actually saw them arriving in Israel, on the news of course, I was amazed. Thank you for sharing this.
